How do I make sure I don't miss ordering garlic this year?

If you haven't already, click here to sign up for the PHG Newsletter.

As garlic is only available for sale once a year. The PHG Newsletter signals the garlic hunt has begun for the year.  When it's gone, it's a whole year of waiting.  This year, the order form was posted on the web page in early July to start the garlic order season.  Garlic is still available so download the order form now to get in on this years harvest!   Also, if you haven't already, sign up to receive the 2011 newsletter, either by email or postal service, so you don't miss out next year!

How does the order form work?

We send out the newsletter and post the order form on the web in early July and we ask that you send your orders in by late August, 2010.  We will again fill orders on a first come first served basis so we will number them as they come in.  Then in August, we will ship garlic orders when the crop has been harvested, cured and ready for sale. If we are unable to fill any orders all monies will be returned promptly.

Do we still need to send payment with our order?

Yes.  We will only fill orders accompanied with payments.

Do you accept credit cards?
No. We only accept check or money order.

How do you ship?
We ship using US Postal Service.

Why is Purple Haze different than conventional garlic?
Purple Haze is fresh and has a big, easy to peel clove with a spicy taste that can never be confused with conventionally grown garlic.  Do your own taste test and see.

How many heads are in a braid?  How much do the braids weigh?
All braids have 15 bulbs. They vary between 1 1/2 to 3 pounds depending on the size of braid.

How long will a braid last?
Up to a year in a braid, depending on how much you eat!  For best results, Purple Haze should be stored out in a cool location with good air ventilation.  Don’t put it in plastic containers, bags or direct sunlight.

Have you considered expanding your crop?

Yes.  Each year we have increased our crop significantly, however we have yet to meet the demand. Please bear with us as we try to fill all the orders.

What’s your favorite Jimmy Hendrix song?
Purple Haze, of course.
