When does the Newsletter come out?

It varies year to year depending on the weather, however it is usually 3-4 weeks after harvest.  We hope to have it in the mail by Labor Day but not always.  If you haven't already, click here to sign up for the Newsletter.

How does the Garlic Lottery work?

Similar to the concept of boat trip permitting, we will accept orders postmarked until September 11th and number them as they come in.  Then we will draw numbers and fill orders until the garlic is sold. We will return all orders and payments not filled.  Use your lucky pen to fill out your order!

Do we still need to send payment with our order?

Yes.  We will only fill orders accompanied with payments.

Do you accept credit cards?
No. We accept the old fashioned forms of check or money order.

How do you ship?
We ship using US Postal Service.

Why is Purple Haze different than conventional garlic?
Purple Haze is fresh and has a big, easy to peel clove with a spicy taste that can never be confused with conventionally grown garlic.  Do your own taste test and see.

How many heads are in a braid?  How much do the braids weigh?
All braids have 15 bulbs. They vary between 1-2 pounds depending on the size of bulbs.

How long will a braid last?
Up to a year in a braid, depending on how much you eat!  For best results, Purple Haze should be stored out in a cool location with good air ventilation.  Don’t put it in plastic containers, bags or direct sunlight.

Have you considered expanding your crop?

Yes.  We actually increased our crop significantly this year, however are not sure we can still meet the demand. Please bear with us as we are experiencing some growing pains.

What’s your favorite Jimmy Hendrix song?
Purple Haze, of course.
